Kenny Harrison
|
Kenny is an author-illustrator raised in New York City, embracing and living in his adoptive home, New Orleans, just a short walk from a scenic bayou. He, his wife, and two children have shared their home with a menagerie of rescued pets, from Cinderella (a one-ounce mouse) to Lola (a one hundred and ten pound Newfoundland dog). After thirty-two years as an award-winning artist for the local newspaper, Kenny is now pursuing his passion: writing and illustrating children’s books. He works in both traditional and digital techniques. A couple of little secrets about Kenny: When he paints and draws, he’s a lefty. When he creates art on the computer, he works right-handed. And his prized possession (which he happily shares with children during school visits) is a framed copy of his third-grade report card in which he failed every subject except oral expression and . . . art.
