Senior Digital Marketing Manager
Candlewick Press, a leading publisher of books for children, seeks a Senior Digital Marketing Manager. Reporting to the VP of Consumer and Brand Marketing, this position will manage social media strategy from concept to execution including content creation, scheduling, and identifying/securing outside partners for Candlewick Press, Holiday House, Peachtree, and Peachtree Teen social media accounts; they will also play a key role in other digital marketing efforts, including e-newsletters, web content, and online campaigns. The ideal candidate will be an aesthetically-minded, experienced social media content creator with a knowledge of children's books marketplace; someone who keeps up-to-date on social media platforms and trends, and loves connecting a wide range of books with consumers. This is a highly collaborative role, perfect for someone with initiative and creativity, and also an eye for detail and scheduling. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Overseeing multiple social media channels across imprints
- Contributing to and executing digital marketing efforts across imprints
- Content creation and direction for books ranging from preschool board books to young adult novels, established brands and debut authors/illustrators
- Curating and creating dynamic photos and video content related to our books, authors, and events
- Managing day-to-day scheduling, posting, and optimization of content across social media platform
- Planning, producing, and implementing influencer campaigns, partnered giveaways, brand co-promotional programs, integrated digital events, and content campaigns
- Keeping up to date with current technologies and trends in social media to present to the team
- Close collaboration with sales and other marketing colleagues
- Assessing analytics using digital tools and using the data to drive social strategies
- Assisting in developing best practices and guidelines, and consulting with creators on their own social media efforts
- Being an active member of the global Trustbridge digital marketing teams, coordinating on social media promotions and backlist marketing initiatives
- Managing direct reports
Minimum 6 years of experience managing social media content, ideally for a children's book publisher - Proficient across key social media platforms
- Proven ability to craft innovative social media campaigns and oversee their implementation for multiple book launches at a time
- Extensive experience creating visual content daily in a time-sensitive environment
- Ability to predict, anticipate, and respond to trends and engaging moments on various social platforms
- Developed eye for catchy and interesting content that can elevate social traffic and overall community engagement
- Experience setting KPIs for social media campaigns, and tracking and reporting on social analytics and data
- Excellent project management, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to craft engaging and thoughtful copy
Fluent in Canva and Adobe Photoshop * Understanding of social media analytics and listening tools * Understanding of key social measurement metrics * A passion for social media and for books is a must! This is a full-time position which can be located in Somerville, MA or New York, NY with the option for hybrid work.
